In the heart of Ribera del Duero, between Valbuena del Duero, Pesquera del Duero and Peñafiel cities, the wine interpretation center Emina has just opened.

This project tries to show the visitors the wine roots of the zone protected by the origin denomination of Ribera del Duero through several activities as well as tasting courses, a visit to their vineyards or the entrance to its wine museum, where the visitor will know the history of this drink and the origin of the wine cellar group Emina, from its first labels to the brand new wines.

The building , that has a 1,000 square meters surface, has been designed by the architect Jose Luis Alonso Ponga, creator, among others, of the popular Provincial wine museum of Peñafiel and the House Museum of La Ribera. After visiting the museum, in a space outdoors, the visitor will be able to walk by the "garden of the varieties", a place where the experts of the winery have selected and planted all the varieties of existing grapes in the world. In this place the wine enthusiasts can extend their knowledge on the grape`s tipologies and its different stages.

In addition, the Emina Center also offers to the visitor the possibility of observing the brandy elaboration with the peels of the grapes, called "hollejos".

And for those ones who want to learn more about the world of wine, the Emina Center also makes available to the public its formation center, a place to interchange experiences between professionals, amateurs and for all those who want to approach one more step into the kingdom of Baco. In addition, in the Emina center there is also time to rest and to enjoy typical dishes cooked by Pedro Pablo Duke, Head of kitchen at Espadaña restaurant, located in San Bernardo village. This magnificent cook will be the one in charge in the Emina center of combining the majestic wines of Ribera del Duero with the most traditional plates of the Castilian kitchen and innovating creations. An experience to seduce all the senses.
