Twelve grapes to start the year with good luck

Every December 31st, the twelve strikes of the bells mark the end of one year and the beginning of a next one, with the hope that it will be better and happier than the previous one. To celebrate the arrival of the New Year each country has its own ritual. In Spanish homes it’s tradition to take twelve grapes, one by one, at the pace of the peals issued by the clock from the Puerta del Sol to "enter

with good luck" the new year. This ritual, which dates back to the first decade of the twentieth century, is mainly economic in origin and was launched by a group of vine growers from Alicante.

CVNE opens the Eiffel Plant, the “Aldea del Vino”´s flagship

The “Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España” (CVNE), which has over 125 years of history, has just opened to the public the Eiffel Plant, a key element of the “Aldea del Vino” (Wine Village), a place of leisure and vanguards culture created by CVNE in its cellars in Haro (La Rioja).
